Soft American style cookies are so much better than British biscuits. Brits agree

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

This recipe comes from Magnolia Bakery. I've changed the kind of chocolate chips for ease

Ingredients:

302 g soft butter or baking margarine

1 cup granulated or caster sugar

2/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar

2 large eggs at room temperature

3 Tbsp milk

1 Tbsp vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups plain flour

2/3 cup cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

2 small bags white chocolate chips

2 small bags milk chocolate chips

2 small bags plain chocolate chips

(c.170-200g of each kind)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350˚F/180˚C

Cream together butter and sugars until smooth, c. 4 minutes

Add eggs and mix well, add milk and vanilla, add flour mixture, then add chocolate chips

On a pan lined with foil and baking paper, drop cookies 1 Tbsp at a time, leaving room

Bake 10-12 minutes, until they no longer look soft

Let cool on sheets for a few minutes, then transfer elsewhere to cool completely

A wire rack is best, and this is my grill pan covered in foil

Most likely you'll eat 6-8 of these and regret it 15 minutes later
